• Account data — name, email and password credentials you provide at sign up.
• Billing data — subscription plan, billing country and the last four digits / card brand supplied by our payment processor. We never receive or store full card numbers.
• Tool inputs — the text, field notes, uploaded photos and reference images you submit to the Chat, Diagram and Motion tools.
• Generated results — the checklists, failure-mode tables, diagrams, clips and report drafts produced for you.
• Support data — messages you send us via the contact and support forms.
• Technical data — IP address, device/browser type and usage events.

Collection sources: we collect this data (a) directly from you when you register, submit tool inputs, upload files or contact us; (b) automatically from your device via cookies and server logs (see our Cookie Policy); and (c) from third parties that process on our behalf, such as our payment processor (billing metadata) and AI generation providers (generation status).

• To provide the service — generate outputs, manage your account and allowances (performance of a contract).
• To take payment — process subscriptions and invoices (performance of a contract / legal obligation).
• To secure and improve the service — prevent abuse, debug and analyse usage (legitimate interests).
• To communicate — service messages and, where permitted, product updates (legitimate interests / consent).
• To meet legal obligations — tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests.

User inputs, uploaded files and generated results are processed to produce and deliver your output and to operate the service. We do not use your inputs, uploads or generated results to train AI models.

Uploaded photos and reference images are processed to generate the requested diagram or clip and are retained with your account until you delete them or close your account. You can delete generated assets and inputs from your workspace, and request full deletion by contacting us.

Your tool inputs, uploaded files and generated results are stored with your account in our database and file storage (Supabase) so you can revisit them. Uploaded photos and reference images are used only to produce the diagram or clip you requested.

• Retention — inputs, files and generated results are kept until you delete them or close your account.
• Self-service deletion — you can delete individual uploads, generated assets and drafts from your workspace at any time.
• Full deletion — email us to delete your account and associated inputs and files; we action verified requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention of billing records.
• No model training — we do not use your inputs, uploads or generated results to train AI models.

Card payments are handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe). Full card numbers are entered on the processor's secure fields and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only a token, the card brand, the last four digits and the transaction result.

• Hosting and content delivery (application hosting on Vercel).
• Payment processing (Stripe).
• Database, authentication and file storage (Supabase).
• AI generation providers used to produce text, images and video.
• Email and support tooling used to reply to you.

Some processors are located outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Account and billing records are kept for the life of your account and for as long as required by law (typically up to six years for financial records). Tool inputs and generated assets are kept until you delete them or close your account. Support messages are kept for up to 24 months.

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and regulators of any breach where legally required.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. UK and EU users may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

California residents may request disclosure or deletion of personal information and may opt out of any "sale" or "sharing". We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any right, email support@mechinsp.shop.

We do not use your personal data for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. The service is not directed to children: it may not be used by anyone under 13, and users aged 13–17 require guardian consent and must not use it for real safety-critical work.
